We have several kinds of reading materials in Oxford Reading Tree Series.
Snapdragons / Sparrows / Woodpeckers / Robins / Jackdaws / Cross-curricular Jackdaws / Citizenship Stories / Fact Finders / Oxford Reading Tree True Stories

Snapdragons Stages 1+ to 10
The Snapdragons are a visually enticing range of beautifully-illustrated picture books with a variety of stories, which provide reading practice through 10 Oxford Reading Tree levels. The reading skills goals for each level are thus the same as described for ORT above, and they are colour banded for easy level recognition.

The rich illustrations provide a basis for discussion of the stories, involving both able and less able readers in a positive way. They are especially useful in the context of the EFL classroom, where images hold high potency.

The Stage1+ stories have familiar settings to build confidence as high frequency words are practiced.
The stories from Stage 2 - 5 introduce longer sentences, more variation of sentence structure, and fantasy settings.
Stages 6-10 offer multicultural settings, humour, science fiction, and traditional stories, and stories with language play.

Sparrows Stages 3 and 4
These stories feature new characters including two Muslim children Adam and Yasmin. The stories are intended for those who need more practice before moving on to the next stage.

Woodpeckers Stages 3 to 9
Woodpeckers are for phonics practice and use the key words from Stage 1-5 and introduce children to a variety of illustrative styles.

Robins Stages 7 to 10
Robins can be used to extend children whose understanding is good but who still need a story that is not too long or complicated. Children should read to the top of Stage 9 before tackling the Robins.

Jackdaws Stages 8 to 11
Jackdaws are demanding but enjoyable anthologies. They contain stories, non-fiction and traditional tales all on the same theme, for example, birds. As with Robins it is recommended that children read to the top of Stage 9 before reading the Jackdaws.

Cross-curricular Jackdaws Stages 10 to 11
Versatile anthologies that provide guided reading for the whole curriculum. Each book contains a contemporary story, a stimulating non-fiction section, and a historic legend. Lively illustrations, including artwork and photographs, to help understanding and motivate children.

Citizenship Stories Stages 9 to 10
These stories are about a group of seven year-old at school together, their relationships with each other, and how they manage them. They explore jealousy, feeling left out, bullying, disability, theft, sexism, and cheating, and are ideal for discussion work.

Fact Finders Stages 1 to 11
The Fact Finders series is the non-fiction component of the Oxford Reading Tree. It introduces non-fiction style books to readers, and focuses on developing the information retrieval and handling skills they need to use them effectively. This is facilitated with the inclusion of a Table of Contents and an Index in every book. These increase in detail and complexity with the ORT levels, so that some of them include a Glossary.

The series encompasses a whole range of genres, illustration styles, and subject focuses. The first eighteen titles are grouped into three topic units: 'Myself', 'Families', and 'Houses and Homes'. Unit A, 'Myself', supports British National Curriculum Science, Technology, and History, as well as developing reading skills and demonstrating different styles of non-fiction writing. The books also reinforce safety, health, and care messages for the youngest infants. Unit C, 'Houses and Homes', supports National Curriculum Geography, History, Technology, and Mathematics. The series contains many colourful photographs, engaging diagrams, and the attractive layout will ensure interested readers.
