These are specially created packs
for Japan, aimed at the Japanese teacher who is developing
his or her young students early English reading abilities.
They are also perfect for parents teaching their children
at home. All include a Japanese Teacher / Parent Guidebook
and an Audio CD with readings of the stories in native English.
The packs provide an exceptionally easy way for Japanese teachers
of English to introduce the magic of the ORT into their
classrooms.
As Stages 1, 2 & 3, new individual level packs are developed.
They will have 6 books, one CD with a recording of the stories
in both British and American accents, and a guide book translation
for Japanese speakers.
At present, Stage 4 and 5 are in one box, but the individual
stage packs will be available by this winter.
The new guide books will be more than just translations of
the text. Originally, the guide books were created for Japanese
mothers with little English. The guide books for the new packages
(new pack of Stage 1, 2, 3, 1+ B, Patterned Stories, First
Phonics and Fireflies) are good for Japanese teachers
of English, too, as there are a few hints for activities. |
