Bookworms Level Guide | Browse by Level | Teacher Resources
Oxford Bookworms Club Reading Circles are magic – they really do get students talking in the classroom.
Reading Circles are small groups of students who meet in the classroom to talk about a story they are reading in English. The story must be written in language that is below their level so it is enjoyable to read. A good story is at the heart of every Reading Circle.
Each student is given a different role in the discussion: Discussion Leader, Summarizer, Culture Collector, Word Master, etc. Students must read the story and complete their Role Sheet in preparation for the discussion.
Reading Circles encourage students to think more, read more – and talk more!
